Well the club BBQ went really well, Good weather and none of the forecasted rain.
With plenty of burgers and sausages to go round everyone had their fill and with only four sausages left the food couldent have been that bad.
Thanks to all the members that turned up.
If anyone is ill, claims should be made personally to the club secretary who will then pay all claims out of his own pocket...

CLUB CHAT...
It has been suggested that the members have an informal chat on a Wednesday evening..
Staring at around 19.00 local.
Due to the locale of some of our members 145.600 the WR repeater seemed a likely place to rendezvous.
Anyone around at this time is more than welcome to have a chat.
PLEASE REMEMBER the repeater is primarily for mobile comms so therefore priority should always be given.

Hello and Welcome to South East Wales newest club...Cwmbran and District ARS We hold our meetings every Thursday at the address on this site between 19.00 and 21.00 hrs. We are registered as an examination venue with the R S G B and also affiliated to the R S G B. We can offer Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced license courses free to club members........
Membership fees are currently £12.00 per year and a £1.00 per night entrance fee will get you all the tea and coffee you can drink. (Cans of pop are extra)...
Feel free to come and have a look around, you will be most welcome. We have tea and coffee facilities and disabled visitors are more than welcome as we have full facilities. May we take this opportunity to welcome you, just pop in and say hello. We look forward to seeing you...... We now have our antennae working for 2 metres and all the HF bands.
The rigs and tuner are now in the locked shack so we now have a fully functioning radio room away from the main seating area.
Please make use of it.
Our station manager Peter will be there to assist with the tuning so please let him know if you are going to use the station.
Our first two contacts on the new equipment today were in to Russia at around 14.30 local time..
